HBS18540 BINGO – LETTERS

Each child receives a bingo card and counters.

The educator shuffles the letter cards and chooses a card without looking. He/she then calls out the letter sound.

The children place a counter over the corresponding letter if it is in their card and repeat the letter sound. e.g:   a as in apple,  b as in bug,  c as in cap

The aim is to cover 4 horizontal or vertical letters in a row.

The child then shouts out BINGO! Continue until all children have achieved a BINGO!

Later on diagonal lines can be included and correct letter names can be taught after all the children have grasped the letter sounds. e.g:  aay says a, bee says b, cee says c
